Background Information
This coffee is the product of the passion and skill of Emilio López and Jose Roberto Santamaría, two coffee producers from multigenerational coffee-farming families.
Together, they established Odyssey Coffees, a forward-thinking coffee company based in El Salvador and Portland.
Their commitment to innovation and sustainability has earned them a stellar reputation in the specialty coffee industry.
Their operations span six farms: Fincas Las Isabellas, Tapantogusto, Las Piedras, La Cumbre, El Manzano, and Ayutepeque.
This Geisha comes from Finca La Cumbre, a plot located on the highest-altitude land within Finca El Manzano, a farm that has been in Emilio’s family since 1872.
Emilio has been a pioneer in the El Salvador coffee scene, planting new varieties and building an on-site wet mill in 2005.
His innovative methods and commitment to quality ensure consistent and sustainable coffee production across all his farms.
Through their Growing Together initiative, Emilio and Jose have supported coffee-producing communities
with workshops, medical assistance, and educational programs, empowering farmers to improve productivity and quality while uplifting the surrounding communities.
