Muramvya is produced by the Murambi Coop, a group of smallholder farmers in the Muramvya region of Burundi.
These farmers typically own less than 1 hectare of land and deliver their coffee cherries to the Murambi washing station.
The cherries are carefully sorted and pulped before undergoing a traditional fermentation process for 18-24 hours.
After fermentation, the coffee is dried on raised beds and covered in the evenings to protect from precipitation, ensuring the coffee's optimal quality.
The dedication and meticulous processing techniques of the Murambi Coop farmers are evident in every sip of this exceptional coffee.
Muramvya's flavour profile of prune, dates, and brown sugar is a testament to the rich heritage and expertise of its producers.
Enjoy the delightful complexity and balance of Muramvya, a true gem from the heart of Burundi.
